Custom Free Standing Vanity

With the rise in popularity of Pinterest and home renovation shows, custom furniture is becoming a common request. Homeowners are no longer interested in cookie cutter cabinets and storage. They are looking for solid pieces that have a lot of detail and character. The current trend that we are seeing in our Outer Banks bathroom remodels are requests for vanities that look like furniture. Our clients are looking for unique pieces to add a custom look to an area of the home that often gets overlooked.

The Cozy Kitchen warehouse is home to many ongoing custom design projects. Our latest design is a free standing vanity made of solid oak. The vanity features a 5″ thick oak countertop with an open bottom shelf. The vanity was dressed up with a dark espresso stain and a contrasting white surface-mount sink.

Custom Free Standing Vanity

Our client was looking for a custom piece to feature in the powder room of their oceanfront home on the Outer Banks. The clean lines and openness of the vanity gives the illusion of more space. This is a wonderful design choice to incorporate into a small half bathroom. The contrasting colors and shape of the vanity and sink follow the popular farmhouse coastal trend. The open bottom shelf offers enough storage space to add baskets, towels or decorations underneath if desired.
