From old to new, what can Cozy do for you? When we discuss kitchen remodeling ideas with our clients, we want to maximize the process in every way. We look at the layout of the space, the cabinets and materials and create design ideas that make the most impact and match our client’s taste and vision for their home.
In our latest kitchen remodel, we began by reconfiguring the layout. Replacing the kitchen bar with an island helped improve the overall flow and made the kitchen feel much larger than before. Another way our designers made the kitchen appear larger was by upgrading the cabinets. The original cabinets were well maintained, but were small and left a lot of dead space between the wall and ceiling. The new larger cabinets and linear hardware added height to the kitchen and also gave our clients extra storage space.
The final challenge was to provide our clients with more counter space and update the overall design. For a fresh and airy look, our clients choose to go with white Atlantic Quartz countertops, a stainless steel farm sink, a subway tile backsplash, new Coretec LVP flooring and stainless steel appliances. These design choices unified the space and gave it a more elegant touch. An accent area was also added over the stove and range. Instead of installing the backsplash horizontally, our designers choose to install it vertically to continue to add height.
When the Cozy team wrapped up this remodel, we were all taken back by how much larger the kitchen appeared. We were able to take this outdated kitchen with mix matched textures and materials and create a sophisticated, open kitchen that our clients can enjoy for years to come.
