The Cozy Design Process

Step 1. Initial Estimate

Free of Charge

To start your project with Cozy, provide us with your measurements (see our Quick Measuring Guide ), photos of your existing space, and appliance sizes desired. Along with this information, send over a brief explanation of what your project includes (cabinetry, tile, appliances). From that point, you will receive a tiered estimate for cabinets, tile, and appliance pricing if needed. This initial estimate is a budgeting tool for your use.

Note: If you have scaled blueprints or plans for your remodel this will suffice. If you prefer Cozy to measure for your initial estimate, skip this step, and see Step 2.

Step 2. Home Measure/Site Visit

$150 fee

We are happy to have one of our professionals visit your home to gather all photos, measurements, and information needed to provide you an initial tiered estimate. After the visit, if you would like to proceed to Step 3, we will then have enough information to begin developing the design with you.

Step 3. Retainer & Design Development

Nominal fee based on project size

If you are ready to move forward with us, after your tiered estimate, your designer will ask for a retainer based on the project size. This allows us to design and provide detailed drawings. It includes two drawing revisions and two meetings. It also allows us to release hard copies of your design plans to you and your builder.

Note: Your retainer will be credited to your final project purchase.

Step 4. Finalize Plans & Selections

After the initial revisions, your designer will complete your designs and thoroughly review all aspects of your project, including all selections of cabinets, tile, and appliances. Once you sign-off on all drawings, selections, and proposals and a deposit is paid, your project will be put into production. You will receive a final copy of all plans and pertinent documents for all parties involved.

Step 5. Delivery & Installation

Our scheduling department will be in contact with you and your builder to coordinate the professional delivery and installation of all goods Cozy provides.

Moms Sweet Shop

Cozy designed and built the most beautiful custom cabinetry for our retail store front. We are constantly complemented on the display cases and cabinetry and many people ask us what the stone tops are that we used (Silestone quartz tops that look like honed marble) We get tons of compliments and we feel the case work is part of what makes our shop! Cozy has an experienced team who was on schedule with all of the delivery goals. We would happily use them again and suggest them to other builders or anyone renovating a space.
